I. Background
According to a private survey, it showed that many students, researchers, potential tourists, investors, educators and etc. have had difficulties in finding the facts about Cambodia because there is no a single readily-accessible and up to date online sources about Cambodia. In order to respond to this need, CAMBOPEDIA is initiated by a group of Cambodian scholars in cooperation with the Cambodian Mekong University and other local and international scholars. The project will develop a website (with Khmer and English versions) containing reliable, in-depth and up-to-date information on all aspects of Cambodian life.
II. Vision
The CAMBOPEDIA envisons to be the most trust sources living online encyclopedia of Cambodia.
III. Objectives
The main purpose of CAMBOPEDIA
(1) To develop a living online database sources on all aspects of Cambodian life available to the public;
(2) To provide access and promote Cambodian research to both the national and international community;
(3) To promote Cambodia to the outside world– whether for students, potential tourists, investors, educators and other researchers; and
(4) To contribute to knowledge-building in Cambodia
